On November 25, an extraordinary sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs moderated by Hovhannes Sahakyan took place. The deputies in the first reading debated the RA Draft Law Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly authored by Vahram Baghdasaryan, Hovhannes Sahakyan and Armen Rustamyan. The key speaker, the Committee Chair Hovhannes Sahakyan has informed that the Committee debated the amended version of the draft law with the representatives of the government.

The RA Minister of Justice Arpine Hovhannisyan submitted the viewpoint of the RA Government on the document. She presented her concerns and recommendations on some provisions of the draft law. The Minister expressed hope that the voiced questions will be possible to solve as a result of parliament-government joint debates.

By the presentation of the Committee Chair Hovhannes Sahakyan, the deputies in the first reading debated the draft law on the RA National Assembly Deputy’s Activity Guarantees authored by the deputies Vahram Baghdasaryan, Hovhannes Sahakyan and Armen Rustamyan.

The Committee endorsed the draft laws for including them in the agenda of the NA extarordinary sitting to be convened on November 28.
