On October 7, at Hakob Paronyan State Musical Comedy Theatre on the occasion of Teacher’s Day an event was organized by the RA National Assembly, by the RA Government, the RA Ministries of RA Defense and the RA Education and Science and the RPA Women’s Council, the goal of which was to award the teachers of April four-day war participant heroes.

The RA NA Deputy Speaker Hermine Naghdalyan, the NA deputies and the members of the government attended the event. The students of V. Sargsyan Military University of the RA Ministry of Defense, Monte Melkonian Military-Sport College of the RA Ministry of Defense and Marshal A. Khanperyants Military Aviation University took part in the event.

Welcoming the pedagogues of Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh and congratulating them on the occasion of their professional holiday, the RA NA Deputy Speaker Hermine Naghdalyan has noted that the Armenian teachers with their selfless work could not only educate literate and knowledgeable, but bring up the students with national military-patriotic spirit, teach to love and defend the Motherland. In that context, Mrs Naghdalyan remembered with pain the heroes who died in April War days and especially highlighted their teachers’ contribution to upbringing and educating as a real Armenian.

“Today, we can say with pride that the Armenian school, as the Armenian Army with glory and honour took the most important examination of our many centuries old history – the examination of bringing up devoted heroes for the nation. This is the greatest historical victory of our school and our teacher,” Hermine Naghdalyan underlined.

The RA Minister of Education and Science Levon Mkrtchyan and the RA Minister of Defense Vigen Sargsyan had words of welcome and congratulation. They emphasized pupil-teacher-army firm link.

During the event numerous pedagogues from Yerevan, marzes and Artsakh were awarded the Memorial Medals of the RA NA Speaker and the RA Prime Minister, the Golden Memorial Medal of the Ministry of Education and Science, the Memorial Medal of the Ministry of Defense, Marshal Baghramyan, Andranik Ozanian, Drastamat Kanayan Medals and encouragement presents. The RA NA Deputy Speaker Hermine Naghdalyan, the RA Minister of Education and Science Levon Mkrtchyan and the RA Minister of Defense Vigen Sargsyan handed the awards.

The symbolic day ended with musical performances.
