The Speaker of the RA National Assembly Galust Sahakyan sent congratulatory address on Librarian Day.
“Dear employees of the librarian system,
Distinguished specialists of the librarian work,
I congratulate you on your professional holiday, on the occasion of Librarian Day.
As a reader’s adviser and often a leader, you form respect both towards yourself, and literature and writing, which is never devaluated. Your chosen profession and work have a moral meaning and public importance, because you not only preserve and spread values, but also adhere to them.
People and books have become the inseparable part of your life, and you connect them, bring them together, being faithful to both of them, treating both of them with all the tenderheartedness of a close family member, and directly perceiving the thought and word of both. It is also thanks to you that regardless of the development of technologies and changes of world perceptions the book remains an irreplaceable value, and the library is a unique treasury, which you manage with dignity, wisely and creatively, sharing with others the wealth enclosed in them, too.
Your devotion and uncomplaining work, the special atmosphere, that exists inside the walls of the libraries, make you worthy for respect and sincere words of thankfulness, as the employees of the library system. Please, accept all that together with my best wishes – health, welfare and all the best to you,” the NA Speaker’s congratulatory address reads.
