Galust Sahakyan Receives Newly Appointed Ambassador of Georgia to Armenia

On September 30, the Speaker of the RA National Assembly Galust Sahakyan received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Armenia George Saganelidze.

Congratulating the newly appointed Ambassador, Galust Sahakyan expressed hope that during the implementation of his diplomatic mission he will promote the further deepening and strengthening of the relations between Armenia and Georgia through his activities.

In his word Galust Sahakyan documented that during the last years the Armenian-Georgian parliamentary ties and mutual visits had been enlivened.

Highly assessing the current level of the Armenian-Georgian relations the NA Speaker has noted that there are still large opportunities and unused potential to develop the trade-economic relations and expand the cooperation in a number of spheres.

Thanking the NA Speaker for the warm reception, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Armenia George Saganelidze documented the high level of the Armenian-Georgian relations. Evaluating the friendly relations between the two countries, the Ambassador stated that the Armenian ethnos had a great role in the development of Georgia’s statehood. He expressed readiness to make significant contribution to further deepening and strengthening of ties between the two countries.

Speaking about the historical connections of the Armenian and Georgian peoples, the interlocutors have underlined that the two peoples’ friendly relations serve as a firm basis for the development of the inter-state relations.

In the course of the meeting the parties referred to a number of issues of bilateral interest.
