On September 5, the delegation on an official visit to Argentina, led by the RA National Assembly Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov and comprised of the NA MPs Sukias Avetisyan and Mikayel Manukyan, met with the Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Argentine Gustavo Rodolfo Zlauvinen.

The interlocutors documented that bilateral relations develop comprehensively and dynamically. It was mutually emphasized the further expansion and intensification of economic ties, which can be promoted by business conferences, according to the parties.

The RA NA Deputy Speaker expressed gratitude that the legislative, executive and judicial authorities have recognized and condemned the Armenian Genocide.   In his talk with Gustavo Rodolfo Zlauvinen, Eduard Sharmazanov has mentioned that Argentina reiterates the undisputable fact that Argentina is a democratic country, by condemning the Genocide.

During the meeting they also touched upon the regional issues, the process of the NK conflict settlement. Talking about the NK conflict, Eduard Sharmazanov documented that currently the world is on the victorious way of the right to self-determination. He emphasized that negotiations do no good because of Azerbaijan ’s anti-constructive position. By Mr Sharmazanov’s assessment, unless Vienna and St. Petersburg summits’ arrangements are brought to life, it is difficult to expect any progress in negotiation processes. In his turn Gustavo Rodolfo Zlauvinen noted that Argentina stands exclusively for the peaceful settlement of the NK conflict.
