Delegation Led by RA NA Deputy Speaker Hermine Naghdalyan Leaves for Georgia on Official Visit

On May 25-27, at the official invitation of the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia David Usupashvili the Delegation of the RA National Assembly led by the RA NA Deputy Speaker, the Head of the NA Armenia-Georgia Friendship Group Hermine Naghdalyan left for the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi. The Delegation, which comprises the members of Armenia-Georgia Parliamentary Friendship Group Tatshat Vardapetyan, Khachatur Kokobelyan, Vardan Ayvazyan will take part in the celebration of the twenty-fifth anniversary of Independence Day of Georgia.

On May 26, within the framework of the visit the Delegation had a meeting with the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia David Usupashvili: during the meeting a large scope of issues of bilateral interest was discussed. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Georgia Yuri Vardanyan also took part in the meeting.

During the jubilee events dedicated to Independence Day of Georgia the Armenian parliamentarians will take part in the swearing-in ceremony of Georgia’s Armed Forces to be held at Liberty Square of Tbilisi, in the official reception invited by the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, as well as in the photo exhibition and concert dedicated to the 25-anniversary of Independence Day.

Let us inform that parliamentary delegations from nine countries arrived in Tbilisi to take part in Independence Day of Georgia: from Armenia, Poland, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, Israel, the Czech Republic, Belarus and Turkey.

The Special Representative on South Caucasus to OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Kristian Vigenin also arrived in Georgia.
