On May 21, the NA Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs moderated by Koryun Nahapetyan was on a working visit in Charentsavan, aiming at getting acquainted with the problems and possibilities of the military-industrial sphere.

First the Committee members visited Charentsavan Tool-machine Factory, which is involved in repairing and modernization of the military technique and artillery systems. They took a tour in the territory of the factory accompanied by the Head of the Military-Technical Service of the Defense Ministry, Colonel Kamo Mirzoyan and the Director of the Factory Hovik Gharakhanyan, got familiarized with working conditions of the workshops, technical refurbishment, got interested in the problems requiring legislative solution and the readiness of the engineers’ staff. The perspectives of the development of the factory were also discussed with those responsible for the sphere.

They have also been at the Measuring Tools’ Laboratory of the Machine-Tools Factory which carries out quality control works.

Afterwards the parliamentarians visited Lubawa Armenia Armenian-Polish Military-Industrial Enterprise, which is involved in the modernization and repairing of the production units, as well as produces fake targets, tents, helmets, bullet-proof vests, camouflage nets and other inventories of military importance. Here also the NA deputies took a tour in the territory, got acquainted with the working conditions, studied with the ready product samples. The Director Jaroslaw Ruch in detail presented the activities of the enterprise led by him and the upcoming programmes.

At the end of the visit the Committee members have been to Patnesh (Barrier) Company and got familiarized with the technical refurbishment of the workshops and the working conditions.

Let us note that the Company is engaged with the repairing, modernization and production of the anti-air defense.

Summing up the results of the visit the Committee Chairman Koryun Nahapetyan noted that the Committee would be consistent in the works being done for the solution of the problems of the military-industrial sphere.
