On April 23 within the framework of the Second Global Forum Against the Crime of Genocide the RA NA Deputy Speaker Hermine Naghdalyan met with the MP of the Danish Parliament Lars Aslan Rasmussen.

Welcoming the guest Hermine Naghdalyan underlined with satisfaction the fact the representatives of numerous countries came to take part in the works of today’s Forum, joining the fight against Genocide.

“We don’t think that this is only a fight for the recognition of the Armenian Genocide. This is a fight for preventing the genocides in the world,” noted Mrs Naghdalyan.

She noted that to prevent genocides we should consider adding the slogan “Never Again” to the resolution “I Remember and Demand,” and the wording will become complete.

Touching upon the Armenian Genocide the RA NA Deputy Speaker has noted that the Armenian people had special attitude towards Denmark: thanks to Danish missionaries numerous Armenians had survived Genocide.

Mrs Naghdalyan has documented that despite the ordeals and tragedies that the Armenian people have undergone, they are optimistic towards future and are grateful to the brotherly peoples who have given a hand in hard times.

Highlighting the participation of Denmark in the Second Global Forum Against the Crime of Genocide, the RA NA Deputy Speaker expressed gratitude that the friendly state continues fighting against genocides.

Hermine Naghdalyan also underscored the importance of the cooperation of the parliamentary delegations of the two countries.

At the end of the meeting by the request of the MP of the Danish Parliament Lars Aslan Rasmussen Hermine Naghdalyan presented the process of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement and touched upon the events occurred on the Karabakh-Azerbaijani Line of Contact during the first days of April and the atrocities committed by Azerbaijan.
