On April 7, the students of the Faculty of Journalism of Yerevan State University (YSU) visited the National Assembly, attended the NA sitting and observed the law making activities of the parliament within the framework of the Open Doors programme.

The RA NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov met with the future journalists.

During the sincere talk the NA Deputy Speaker gladly answered the students’ questions, which related to the recognition of the Nagorno Karabakh independence by Armenia and international community, the RA pursued foreign policy, the situation on the Karabakh-Azerbaijani Line of Contact and the recent developments regarding the conflict. Strongly highlighting the journalists’ role in tense situations in providing unbiased information, Edauard Sharmazanov presented his viewpoints and urged the future journalists to be faithful to their vocation.

At the end of the meeting the students had their photos taken with Eduard Sharmazanov.
