On November 5 the Deputy Speaker of the RA National Assembly Eduard Sharmazanov had a meeting with Viktor Guminsky, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, the Co-Chair of the Inter-Parliamentary Committee on Cooperation between the RB NA and the RA NA in Minsk.
Both sides have recorded with satisfaction that Armenia and Belarus are strategic partners; friendly close ties and mutual trust are laid at the basis of the bilateral relations as well.
The parties highlighted the necessity of the development of the inter-parliamentary dialogue, to which, by the interlocutors’ conviction, also the mutual high level visits and the works of the Inter-Parliamentary Committee greatly promote.
Eduard Sharmazanov has noted that the Inter-Parliamentary Committee is a platform of an open and constructive dialogue. In his word, due to joint efforts considerable successes are recorded in the development of the Armenian-Belarusian inter-parliamentary relations. The erection of the khachkar eternalizing the memory of the Armenian soldiers, who died for the liberation of the Brest Castle in the Great Patriotic War, was also spotlighted.
At the end of the meeting the NA Deputy Speaker has underlined that the parliamentarians of the CSTO member states should more closely cooperate and support each other on the international parliamentary platforms.
