On May 17 at the invitation of the Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Greece Zoi Konstantopoulou the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Eduard Sharmazanov left for Athens on an official visit to take part in the remembrance ceremonies dedicated to the Pontian Greek genocide victims.

On May 18 the NA Deputy Speaker’s meeting with the Speaker of the Hellenic Parliament is scheduled. On the same day Eduard Sharmazanov will take part in the international conference “Triad of Genocides: Armenians, Greeks, Assyrians” where he will deliver a speech.

On May 19, on the Pontian Greeks’ Genocide Day, the NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov will pay tribute to the memory of the genocide victims and deliver a speech at Syntagma Square of Athens.
