Galust Sahakyan Meets with the Delegation of Lebanon’s Parliament

During the Global Forum “Against the Crime of Genocide” on April 22 the RA National Assembly Speaker Galust Sahakyan received the delegation of Lebanon’s Parliament that visited Armenia to take part in the forum. The member of Lebanese Parliament, Armenian by origin Serge Toursarkissian is also in the delegation.

Welcoming the guests Galust Sahakyan expressed his gratitude for the participation of Lebanon’s Parliamentary Delegation in the commemoration events of the Armenian Genocide Centennial. The sides discussed issues regarding the recognition, condemnation of the genocide and Turkey’s denial policy. In his word, the RA NA Speaker in particularly, has noted that the main means of prevention of genocides and other crimes is their recognition and condemnation. He has also noted that during these days Armenia and the Armenian Genocide became more recognizable for the world: the international responses aimed at recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide witness to it.

Talking about the denial of the Armenian Genocide recognition by Turkey, Galust Sahakyan has stated that the struggle of Armenia will last as long as it is necessary for reaching reimbursement.
