On April 16 in Saint Petersburg the 42^nd plenary session of the IPA CIS Council, as well as the sittings of the Commissions on Political Issues and International Cooperation, on Social Policy and Human Rights, on Science and Education and on Legal Issues were held.

The RA NA deputy Rubik Hakobyan took part in the sitting of the IPA CIS Commission on Political Issues and International Cooperation, the NA deputy Levon Dokholyan – in the sitting of the Commission on Policy and Human Rights, the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Hovhannes Sahakyan in the sitting of the Commission on Legal Issues. The NA deputy Hayk Babukhanyan took part in the of the IPA CIS Commission on Science and Education and delivered a speech on the revision the draft law “On the Young Scientists’ Cooperation in the CIS Member States.”

On the same day the IPA CIS 42^nd plenary session was also held, where the NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov, the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Hovhannes Sahakyan, the RA NA deputies Rubik Hakobyan, Levon Dokholyan and Hayk Babukhanyan took part. During the plenary session Hovhannes Sahakyan was awarded the IPA CIS diploma by the Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council Valentina Matvienko.

On the next day, on April 17, the sitting of the CIS Youth Inter-Parliamentary Assembly was held, where the NA deputy Vahan Babayan took part.

On the same day the RA NA Delegation took part in the IPA CIS solemn plenary session dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, where the NA Deputy Speaker, the Head of the RA NA Delegation Eduard Sharmazanov delivered a speech.
