Meeting at the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations

On December 9 the Chairman of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Artak Zakaryan met with Tian Erlong, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China.

Congratulating the Ambassador on the occasion of assuming the post and wishing success, Artak Zakaryan expressed hope that during the Ambassador’s tenure the bilateral relations would continue to develop.

Highlighting the friendly relations existing between the two countries the sides underlined the necessity of deepening the inter-parliamentary relations, implementing new programmes for cooperation of the parliamentary partner committees and developing the ties between the cities of the two countries.

In the course of the meeting the parties touched upon Armenia’s accession to the EEU, the holding of the events dedicated to the Centennial of the 1915 Armenian Genocide, the peaceful settlement of the NK problem, the implementation of the social and economic programmes in a number of spheres between the two countries.

Thanking for the reception the Ambassador Tian Erlong assured that during his tenure he would do his best to develop and deepen the relations existing between the two countries.
