On July 9, Artur Baghdasaryan, Speaker of the National Assembly of RA visited the American University of Armenia. Haroutune Armenian , President of the AUA presented the achievements of the passed years and the future programs in detail. According to Mr. Armenian, here the student has not only a central role, but also personal characteristic features. The University functions, having as basis 4 principle components - i. e. choice, quality, technologies and entrepreneurship. All the AUA projects are digitalized, among which is the library of Armenian Classical Literature, which is an irreplaceable source of knowledge for every student studying here. The future of the University, according to Haroutune Armenian, is presented this way: “University for the whole region and for all Armenians”.

Mr. Armenian accompanied Artur Baghdasaryan, Speaker of the National Assembly of RA also to the “Papazian Library” of the University, where automatization system is applied. This means that during few minutes the desired literature can be available for the student. There is also a base of electronic data functioning in the University. Artur Baghdasaryan, Speaker of the National Assembly of RA also visited the department AUA Information Technology, which had its first graduates last year, in the lingaphone room. At the end of the visit Artur Baghdasaryan said that he was greatly impressed by his visit and introduction, and highlighted that the University guarantees also a qualified job for the graduates. The Speaker of the Parliament said that NA special scholarship will be instituted for the best student.

At the end, the RA NA Speaker met the AUA students and lecturers and answered the questions that interested them.
