On February 25 the NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov met the delegation led by Vangelis Meimarakis, Speaker of the Parliament of the Hellenic Republic.

Welcoming the guests in the National Assembly the Head of Armenia-Greece Friendship Group has noted that the Armenians and the Greeks are nations of common history and value system, and they should fight against denial. He expressed conviction that such visits would promote the strengthening of the Armenian-Greek relations. The NA Deputy Speaker touched upon the cooperation of the friendship group, and highlighted the constructive cooperation of the friendly peoples also on international platforms.

The Speaker of the Parliament of the Hellenic Parliament has noted with satisfaction that the Greek and Armenian deputies closely cooperate in European institutions and support each other. According to Vangelis Meimarakis, the Armenian-Greek relations are at high level, and he has expressed conviction that they will further develop and deepen. He has noted that he is well aware of regional developments and believes that the issues will get solution through dialogue and cooperation.

The members of Armenia-Greece Friendship Group congratulated the Speaker of the Parliament of the Hellenic Republic on the occasion of receiving the NA Medal of Honour.
