Sittings of the NA Standing Committees are Held

On February 21 the NA Standing committees convened sittings.

The NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs moderated by E l inar Vardanyan debated the draft laws “On Amending the RA Law on NGOs” authored by the NA deputy Artak Davtyan.

The Government approved the draft law, Elinar Vardanyan in her report expressed positive opinion and the Committee endorsed the legislative initiative to be included in the agenda of the NA upcoming four-day sittings.

The NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs moderated by Davit Harutyunyan in its sitting debated the draft law “On Amending the RA Code on Administrative Infringements,” which submitted the RA Justice Minister Hrayr Tovmasyan.

The RA Justice Minister submitted for consideration the revised version of the law “On the RA Investigative Committee” and the enclosed legislative package.

The bills were endorsed to be included in the agenda of the NA upcoming four-day sittings.

By the authors’ proposal the debate of the other legislative draft laws included in the agenda of the Committee was postponed by one year.

The RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations moderated by Artak Zakaryan debated the agreement “On Cooperation in the Spheres of Education and Science between the RA Government and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan” signed in Amman on June 24, 2013. The key reporter, the RA Deputy Minister of Education and Science Manuk Mkrtchyan has talked about the goal of the agreement.

The debated agreement will be presented for the consideration and ratification in the parliament.
