At the Sittings of the NA Standing Committees

On February 19 at the sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs moderated by Vardan Ayvazyan the bill "On Amending the RA Law on Joint Stock Companies,” which submitted the RA Minister of Economy Vahram Avanesyan.

The Deputy Chairman of the Committee on State Revenues adjunct to the RA Government Bakhtang Mirumyan presented the bill “On Amending the RA Law on Removing the Organizations and Physical Entities from Taking Tax Accounting.”

The Committee also debated the package of bills “On Amending the RA Law on Purchases” and “On Amending the RA Law on State and Office Secret.”

The debated the draft laws were endorsed to be included in the draft laws of the agendas of the session and the four-day sittings.

The co-author of the draft law Hovhannes Margaryan submitted the bill “On Amending the RA Law on Approval of List of Goods Imported by Organization and Private Entrepreneurs, That Have '0' Customs Duty Rate and are Not Subject to Excise Taxation and For Which Value Added Tax Shall Not Be Calculated and Collected by Customs Authorities.”

The Committee endorsed the draft laws, and also the bill “On Amending the RA Law Food Security” and the bill “On Creating a RA NA Ad-hoc Inquiry Committee on Privatizing Nairit Factory CJSC, Not Fulfilling the Assumed Credit Obligations and the Economic Activity with Necessary Volume” to be included in the draft law of the agendas of the session and the four-day sittings.

The debate of the bill “On Amending the RA Law on Licensing” was postponed by the authors’ proposal.

On the same day the sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport moderated by Artak Davtyan was convened.

The draft laws “On Amending the RA Law on Television and Radio” and “On Amending the RA Law “On Advertisement” were submitted the RA Justice Minister Hrayr Tovmasyan for debate in the first reading.

The Deputy Minister of Education and Science Manuk Mkrtchyan submitted the bill “On Amending the RA Law on the RA Holidays and Memorial Days.” He head noted that the Government proposes to fix May 16 the Day of Students and Youth, taking into account that the Yerevan State University was founded on May 16, 1919.

The deputies of the PAP faction also submitted a bill on amending the same law. The co-author of the bill Vahe Enfiajyan proposed to fix November 17 Day of Students and Youth, the International Students Day included in the list of the UN holidays.

As a result of debate, by the authors’ proposal the debate of the bill was postponed by one year.
