On February 5 the parliament continued its work. As a result of voting the NA draft decision “On Creating the RA NA Ad-hoc Committee of the Inquiry on the State Debt of 2011 and Gas Price Formation in the Sphere of the RA Gas Supply” authored by the NA deputies Tevan Poghosyan, Armen Rustamyan, Aram Manukyan and Elinar Vardanyan was not passed.

The NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan informed the deputies that the Deputy Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs Grigor Grigoryan submitted an application for resignation.

Then the deputies continued to debate the programme of the RA State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition for 2014. 

In the name of the factions only the Head of ANC faction Levon Zourabian delivered a speech having objections on the programme.

In his final speech the Chairman of the Commission Artak Shaboyan thanked the NA deputies for cooperating with the Commission and gave clarifications over the viewpoint.

The deputies also debated the programme of the activity of the RA Public Services Regulatory Commission for 2014, which presented the Chairman of the Commission Robert Nazaryan.

Robert Nazaryan answered the deputies’ questions, which mainly related to the authorities of the control of the Commission, the price formation of gas and energy, the definition and revision of the tariffs of irrigation and drinking water, as well as the format of the presented programme.

The debate of the programme will continue at February 6 NA sitting.

According to the established order of the NA Rules of Procedure, at the last hour of the sittings Q & A session was held between the deputies and the members of the government.
