National Assembly Begins the Work of the Extraordinary Session

On June 17 under the Article 70 of the RA Constitution, on the initiative of the RA Government the National Assembly convened an extraordinary session by the initiator’s established agenda.

The NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan put for voting the NA decisions on holding an extraordinary session and on special procedure of holding an extraordinary session.

The NA deputies continued the debate of the annual report of the RA Control Chamber for 2012, which was interrupted at the sitting of the four-day sittings.

The RA Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan made a co-report, and then he answered to the NA deputies’ questions.

The NA deputies Ruzanna Muradyan, Gagik Jhangiryan, Artashes Geghamyan, Samvel Nikoyan, Hovhannes Margaryan amd Hayk Babukhanyan, Khosrov Harutyunyan, Zaruhi Postanjyan also delivered speeches on the issue under debate.

The deputy Gagik Minasyan proposed to debate separately the current reports instead of brief report, making it a theme for parliamentary hearings.

The RA Minister of Urban Development Samvel Tadevosyan has reminded in the extraordinary co-report that the speculations submitted in the report refer not to the Ministry of Urban Development, but the sphere of construction.

The National Assembly will continue the debate of the issue at June 18 sitting.
