On March 28 on the initiative of the RA NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Sport and Youth parliamentary hearings on the RA draft law “On Scientific and Research Expertise” were held.
Deputies, Vice Chancellors, representatives of the RA National Academy of Sciences, State Scientific Committee of the RA Ministry of Education and Science, Heads of institutes and research workers were invited to take part in the hearings.
The Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Sport and Youth Artak Davtyan in his word noted that the draft law had been expected, it had been at the stage of debates for a long time.
Samvel Harutyunyan has noted that in Armenia there are 12 expertise committees, which carry out reckoning, analyses, and present proposals about financing this or that scientific programme.
The participants also delivered speeches on the theme. In particular, Academician Yuri Suvaryan welcomed the debates on the draft law, noting that it corresponds to presented requirements and would promote the creation of new scientific ideas.
In his final speech the RA Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan thanked the organizers of the hearings.
