At the press conference on February 15 Mher Shahgeldyan, the member of the RA NA Delegation to the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly /EaP/, summed up the results of the meeting of the Euronest PA Committee on Economic Integration, Legal Approximation and Convergence with EU Policies, which was held in Chisinau on February 11-13.

The draft law of ”Syncronization of the Eastern Partnership States’ National Legislation with EU Economic Legislation,” has been discussed, and Mher Shahgeldyan has presented recommendations on it. He has informed the participants that the draft law is at revision phase, and it will be finally be presented during the plenary session.

According to the member of the Armenian Delegation, during the discussions Armenia’s progress and successes in the process of negotiations of the European Union and European Committee within the Eastern Partnership Euronest have been highly assessed. It has been noted that Armenia has recorded considerable progress also in the business sphere.

The Armenian Delegation has proposed to address the problems of civil aviation in the next report. During the discussions it has been decided to refer to communications and transport in general. Mher Shahgeldyan has said that Armenia has expressed readiness to act as co-reporter. All members of the Committee have adopted the recommendation.

Besides the general meeting, other discussions with the partners of different countries were also held, and the participants touched upon Armenia-EU relationship and the opportunities of their development.
