At the Sittings of the NA Standing Committees

On September 28 the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs presided over by Vardan Ayvazyan debated the bill “On Amending the RA Code on Administrative Infringements” submitted by the RA Government.

The RA Deputy Minister of Economy Ara Petrosyan presented the package of bills “On Amending the RA Law on Precious Metals” and “On Amending the RA Code on Administrative Infringements.”

Armen Sahakyan, Head of the Department of State Property Management adjunct to RA Government, presented the bill “On Amending the State Property Privatization 2006-2007 Programme.”

Ashot Martirosyan, Chairman of the State Committee of Nuclear Security Regulation adjunct to RA Government, presented the package of bills “On Amending the RA Law on Safe Use of Nuclear Energy by Purposeful Means” and “On Amending the RA Law on Organization and Conducting Check-ups in the Republic of Armenia.”

The NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs presided over by Elinar Vardanyan debated and as a result of voting deemed expedient to cancel up to one-year term the debate of the RA draft laws in the second reading “On Amending the RA Law on Freedom of Conscience and Religious Organizations” and “On Amending the RA Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.”

The Committee also touched upon the RA draft law “On Provision of Equal Rights and Equal Opportunities for Women and Men.”

The procedure of parliamentary hearings on the RA draft law “On Amending the RA Family Code of the Republic of Armenia” was debated and approved.

At the NA Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs moderated by Koryun Nahapetyan the package of bills “On Amending the RA Law on Compulsory Security of the Responsibility Stemming from the Auto-Transport Means,” “On Amending the RA Code on Administrative Infringements.”

Romik Harutyunyan, First Deputy Director of National Security Service adjunct to Government, presented the bill “On Amending the RA Law on Refugees and Refuge.”

The NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs moderated by Stepan Margaryan debated and endorsed the bill “On Amending the RA Law on Local Self-Government.”

The NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport moderated by Artak Davtyan debated the RA draft law “On Amending the RA Law on State Duty,” which related to receiving RA entry visa for Citizens of the Arab Republic of Syria of Armenian origin and defining privilege of paying state duty for extending its terms.

The NA Standing Committee on Agriculture and Environment presided over by Tachat Vardapetyan debated the bill “On Amending the RA Law on Tariffs of Compensation for the Damage Caused to the Fauna and Flora as a Result of Ecological Violations,” which presented the RA Minister of Nature Protection Aram Harutyunyan.

The deputies endorsed the annual report on RA 2011 State Budget Execution relating to the spheres of the activity of the Committee.

The NA Standing Committee on Health Care, Maternity and Childhood presided over by Ara Babloyan debated the bill “On Amending the Drugs and Psychic Substances,” which presented the Minister of RA Health Care Derenik Dumanyan.

The Committee endorsed the bill for being included in the agendas of the session and the upcoming four-day sittings.

The deputies endorsed the annual report of RA 2011 State Budget Execution concerning the spheres of the Committee’s activity.
