On December 27 the briefings of 6 RA NA Standing Committees were held, during which the chairmen of the committees presented the work done in 2010.
The Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Health Care, Maternity and Childhood Ara Babloyan presented the activities of the committee for 2010. During the last year 13 draft laws with endorsement were under consideration. The National Assembly passed 3 laws. It was noted that the heads of the committees and the experts took part in a number of roundtables and debates.
The Chairman of the RA NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Artak Davtyan said that in 2010 the committee held 13 sittings. At this moment 51 bills are in circulation, from which 31 have been included on the NA session agenda, 6 of them have been passed in the first reading, 20 are in the phase of debate in the committee.
The Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs Aram Safaryan also presented the activities of the committee in 2010. It was noted that the committee cooperated with the USAID, the Council of Europe, the European Commission, the OSCE offices, as well as with other diplomatic and international organizations in RA. The committee also organized parliamentary hearings within the research framework on the legal and social-psychological status of persons having invalidity.
Summing up the works of the committee in 2010 the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Financial Credit and Budgetary Affairs Gagik Minasyna noted that they had submitted for debate 28 draft laws, 4 international treaties.
The adoption of the report of the state budget of the previous year and the debates of the law On RA 2011 State Budget was highlighted.
Summing up the works of the committee the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration and Local Self-Government Hovhannes Margaryan emphasized the outgoing sittings, which were held in the marzes of the republic.
The Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Vardan Ayvazyan that the committee in 2010 submitted 9 dozens of bills, and they were debated and passed by the parliament.
More than 30 bills aimed at improving the sphere of the tax administration have been amended and entered into force in 2010.
