On October 22 at the joint sitting of the Standing Committees on Sciecne, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport and Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs the financial indices envisaged for the expenses of the spheres of education, science, culture, sport and Diaspora by the 2011 RA state budget. The Chairmen of the committees Artak Davtyan and Gagik Minasyan presided over the sitting. Deputies, heads of the spheres and representatives took part in the debate. The first deputy of RA Minister of Finance Pavel Safaryan and RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, RA Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan, RA Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan, RA Minister of Sport and Youth Artur Petrosyan, the Deputy Chairman of RA Television and Radio National Commission and the Chairman of RA Public TV and Radio Council presented the financial indices and programmes envisaged for the next year.

In 2011 in the sphere of education the second credit program of the Quality of Education and Compliance (World Bank) and third credit program of the Social Investments Fund of Armenia (World Bank).

The financing of the science by the state will be carried out with basic and contractual (thematic) targeted-programmed financing.

The deputies addressed numerous questions and proposals to the representatives of the government in the debate.

On the same day the joint sitting of the NA Standing Committees on Agriculture and Environment and Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs, which presided over the chairmen Khachik Harutyunyan and Gagik Minasyan. The RA Deputy Minister of Finance Pavel Safaryan and RA Minister of Agriculture Gerasim Alaverdyan, RA Minister of Nature Protection Aram Harutyunyan, the Chairman of the State Committee of Water Economy of RA Territorial Administration Ministry presented the financial indices allocated to the spheres and the envisaged programmes.
