On May 1, the members of the RA NA Armenia-U.S. Friendship Group - the Head of the Friendship Group, the Head of the NA Civil Contract Faction Hayk Konjoryan, the Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Sargis Khandanyan, the Chair of the Standing Committee on European Integration Arman Yeghoyan, the Chair of the Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Tsovinar Vardanyan, the NA deputy Arsen Torosyan and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the United States of America Lilit Makunts met with the Chair of Foreign Relations Committee of the U.S. Senate, Senator Ben Cardin in Washington.
The Armenian deputies presented the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process and the regional developments in Washington. At the meeting the Crossroads of Peace project was discussed as a most important component of peace
Senator Cardin expressed support to the sovereignty and democracy of Armenia, as well as expressed readiness to further deepen the Armenia-U.S. relations.
