At February 29 sitting, the National Assembly debated in the second reading the legislative package designing addenda to the laws on Military Service and the Status of a Serviceman and on Remuneration of the Persons Holding State Positions and State Service Positions.

The RA Deputy Minister of Defense Karen Brutyan informed that there were no proposals neither by the deputies nor by the Government during the period from the first to the second reading.

The RA Deputy Minister of Defense noted that by the legislative package it is designed to introduce a certification system of the servicemen directly not taking part in the military operations. Unlike the certification functioning combat system, the servicemen included in this group will take tests on fire training and professional knowledge.

The member of the NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security Vahagn Aleksanyan presented the endorsement of the Committee. He called on his colleagues to vote for the draft.

The parliament by voting passed the draft laws debated today and on the previous day.

The National Assembly ended the work of the regular sittings.
