The delegation led by the NA President of the Republic of Armenia Alen Simonyan met with the Leader of the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Penny Mordaunt.

The NA President noted that this visit is a good occasion to develop issues on cooperation of our countries, adding that Armenia is concerned about laying down the multilateral relations on stable bases and develop them with the United Kingdom.

Reference was made to the brief meeting the Prime Ministers of the two countries in Chișinău and the visit of the UK Minister for Europe at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office Leo Docherty to Armenia.

The RA NA President highly appreciated the programmes aimed at strengthening the capacities of the parliament being implemented by the UK.

The members of the RA NA delegation exchanged ideas with the British colleagues on the security of the region, giving details about the situation caused because of the Azerbaijani aggression.
