During the National Assembly-Government Q&A session, the NA deputy of the Civil Contract Faction Armen Khachatryan inquired from the Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan about the housing construction programmes implemented in the border rural communities.
Nikol Pashinyan, responding to the deputy’s question, said that the state is mediating the bank to provide a loan of 16 million AMD for the residents of the border communities, and then repays both the principal amount and the interest amount.
According to the Prime Minister, citizens are often not aware of the implemented programmes and are unable to apply.
Nikol Pashinyan noticed that the Government is building a school, clinic, and road in the villages and explained the need for it: “How can we tell a person to live in a border village and not provide conditions for him?”
In that context, the Prime Minister considered it necessary to note that the development of regional health centers is also included in the Government programmes.
Touching upon one of the MPs’ comment, Nikol Pashinyan reaffirmed his opinion. “The RA must announce that it does not have and will not have territorial aspirations towards any other country, otherwise, they will and are doing everything to prevent us from being a state. It’s not like I make a campaign for peace without understanding the challenges. They are obvious to all of us.”
