On April 25, at the extraordinary sitting initiated by the Government, the National Assembly debated the draft law on Ratifying the Agreement on Trade of the share part of the Russian Federation (RF) in the regulatory capital paid by the Eurasian Development Bank between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Russian Federation.

The RA Deputy Minister of Finance Eduard Hakobyan informed that the Agreement signed on March 24, 2023 is called on regulating the legal relations caused as a result of redistribution of the RF share.

The Russian Federation is obliged to transfer 64.000 shares worth of 64 million USD to the property of the Republic of Armenia, and the Armenian side is obliged to provide the adoption of the share of participation and to pay rubles equivalent to 16 million USD for the bought shares during 2024-2027.

As a result of getting the shares worth of 64 million USD, the present 0.007% share will essentially increase, making 4.23%.

As a result of voting, the draft law was passed.
