On December 16, the National Assembly convened an extraordinary session at the initiative of the Government. The NA President Alen Simonyan informed that according to Article 5 of the Constitutional Law on Constitutional Court, the newly elected judge of the Constitutional Court was sworn in at the NA sitting.

The newly elected judges of the Constitutional Court Seda Safaryan and Hovakim Hovakimyan were sworn in at the NA sitting, saying: “Assuming the position of a judge of the Constitutional Court, I swear to ensure the supremacy of the Constitution, to act independently and impartially, and be faithful to the high rank of a judge of the Constitutional Court.”

The Parliament continued the debate of the agenda items.
