At NA Standing Committee

At April 5 sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture and Youth the package of the proposed addenda to RA laws on Scientific and Scientific Technical Activity, on Higher Education and Post Graduate Specialized Education submitted to the second reading was discussed.

Levon Mkrtchyan, co-author of the draft laws informed that the addendum on the leave of school the teaching of the subjects Armenian Language and History of Armenia in the middle and senior schools with compulsory final examinations was unanimously approved by RA Government and NA factions and defended in the specialists sounded during the parliamentary hearings the previous day.

The committee guaranteed drafts with endorsement for debating them in the second reading at the coming four-day sittings.

The drafts on Libraries, on Making Addenda and Amendment to RA Law on Advertisement submitted to the second reading, on Copyright and Co-Rights and the package of proposed amendments to other laws were also approved.

The debate of the package on Information submitted by MP Rafik Petrosyan and proposed amendments to a number of laws, the draft on amending the RA Law on Scientific and Scientific and Technical Activity submitted by MP Shavarsh Kocharyan were postponed up to two months, and the debate of the draft on making Addendum to RA Law on Pre-School Education submitted by MP Karen Karapetyan.
