Hakob Arshakyan Takes Part in the Event Titled ‘The Birth of New Post’

On June 8, the RA NA Vice President Hakob Arshakyan attended the event titled ‘The Birth of New Post’ organized by HayPost, during which the work done, the achievements and the digitalized process by the Company in the last period are summed up. It was announced about the ‘electronic legally reliable post’ service to be operated in the near future.

The RA Minister of Hi-Tech Industry Robert Khachatryan and those responsible for the sphere also attended the event.

In his welcome speech, the NA Vice President congratulated the attendees on the occasion of the introduction of the HayPost new services and highly appreciated the activities of the Company in our country. He noted that with more than 800 offices and more than 3000 employees the HayPost is among the largest taxpayers: it covers the whole sector of the post logistic services of Armenia.

Hakob Arshakyan underlined that conditioned by the world tendencies and technological developments – now the whole world passes from the telegram and correspondence post turns to messenger contacts, as well as the electronic communication. “In consonance with that HayPost develops, and happily in the last period in parallel with the world technological development new services, united centres opened,” the Deputy Speaker of Parliament documented.

According to Hakob Arshakyan, the Company is the biggest sub-structure being in the distant villages and is an important link in terms of increasing the accessibility of the state policy and state services.

Among the priorities the NA Vice President singled the development of the legal system, the reforms of the legislative field related to the digitalisation agenda. He highlighted the accessibility of rendering state services, the increase of transparency and accountability. In this context the NA Vice President stressed that in three cities of Armenia – in Ijevan, Gyumri and Vanadzor, a new model of post office had been operated. “We can record that this is a big progress with respect to rendering hundreds of state services to the citizens in one place,” Hakob Arshakyan said.

As the RA Minister of Hi-Tech Industry Robert Khachatryan, a big work has been done in rather short period. He noted that implemented disgitalisation work will give an opportunity not to lag behind the ongoing developments in the world and expressed conviction that the community will accept the reforms, and the system will be effectively used.

Afterwards the Chief Executive Officer at HayPost Hayk Karapetyan presented in detail the achievements and the upcoming steps of the Company. Hayk Karapetyan underscored Hakob Arshakyan’s considerable contribution in the development and improvement of HayPost, as NA Vice President supported the implementation of the transformation idea of the HayPost.
