Executive Body Proposes Amendments to Forest Code
1 / 1

The Government and the state bodies can adopt normative legal acts, if the power to adopt them is reserved by the Constitution or laws.

The RA Deputy Minister of Environment Aram Meymaryan said about it at the sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment Protection on April 27.

According to the Deputy Minister, at present there are normative legal acts regulating the forest sector, however there are no authorizing norms established by law. It was noted that there are also legal acts to be developed, for the adoption of which there are also no authorizing norms.

The executive body proposes to make amendments and addenda to the RA Forest Code and to fix authorizing norms in the Code on current legal acts. It is envisaged to set authorizing norms for the planned legal acts too.

According to the rapporteur, the legal acts of forest sector will be brought in line with Article 6 of the Constitution by the adoption of the draft.

The Committee endorsed the draft law.
