Biggest Program is Improvement of Road Network: Gnel Sanosyan

At March 16 regular sitting, the RA NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment Protection debated the Report on Implementation Process and Results of the RA Government Programme for 2021 (2021-2026) approved by the N 234-A Decision of the RA Government on February 28, 2022.

The RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan informed that 214.7bln AMD was allocated from the state budget to the Ministry for the implementation of 131 measures envisaged by 22 programmes in the reporting year, out of which 202.4bln AMD was used, the performance was 94,3%. The biggest programme was the improvement of road network. It was planned to allocate 66.4bln AMD for the programme, 60.5bln AMD was actually used, the performance was 91.1%.

Within the framework of another large programme, the irrigation system was improved. For that purpose, 19.8bln AMD was used from the envisaged 21.4bln AMD, the performance was 92.4%. It was planned to allocate 21.2bln AMD for the urban development programme, 19.7bln AMD was used. 6.6bln AMD was used for water supply and drainage, and it was planned to allocate 7.4bln AMD, the performance – 89.5%.

In the field of transport, the Minister highlighted the holding of tenders for regional transport routes. He noted that many settlements have problems with transport communication.

The Minister informed that the tenders in Kotayk marz were held. 150 buses will serve the settlements of marz in the near future. It is planned to hold tenders in other marzes too.
