It is Proposed to Expand Areas of Use of State Flag of Armenia

On March 15, the package of bills on Making Addendum and Amendments to the RA Law on Flag of the Republic of Armenia and on Making Addenda to the RA Code on Administrative Offenses authored by the deputy of the NA Armenia Faction Aghvan Vardanyan was debated in the second reading and was endorsed at the regular sitting of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs.

According to the key rapporteur Aghvan Vardanyan, a work debate was organized after the first reading, then the legislative package was revised.

The author said that he accepted the proposals submitted by the Government on the legislative package.

It should be noted that the main purpose of the bill is the maximum publicity of the most popular state symbol, the flag of the Republic of Armenia, the strengthening of the respect in the citizens of the Republic of Armenia, especially in children and youth, for the statehood. It is proposed to set a requirement, according to which, the flag of the Republic of Armenia will be permanently hoisted on the buildings of the general education and higher education institutions, state scientific, sports and cultural organizations, other legal entities established by the state and the community.
