Eduard Aghajanyan Receives a Group of Ambassadors Accredited to Armenia

On March 15, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Eduard Aghajanyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Estonia to Armenia Riina Kaljurand, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Latvia Ingrida Leverence, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Finland Kirsti Narinen and the Ambassador Extraordinary Plenipotentiary of Norway Helene Sand Andresen and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Sweden Patrik Svensson.

Welcoming the foreign diplomats, Eduard Aghajanyan highly evaluated the role of the Nordic and Baltic countries in the process of the ongoing democratic reforms in Armenia.

The parties discussed the security situation in the region. The Committee Chair presented the actions of the Azerbaijani side aimed at causing humanitarian crisis in Artsakh, particularly voicing the continuous disruption of the gas supply, the targeting of infrastructures and the civilian population and other psychological pressures towards the residents of Artsakh. In the context of preventing the humanitarian crisis, Eduard Aghajanyan highlighted the targeted response of the international community.

The Committee Chair has noted that the Armenian side is consistent with entering into force the agreements stipulated by trilateral statements of 9 November 2020, 11 January 2021 and 26 November 2021.

The RA-EU cooperation, as well as the situation created around Ukraine were touched upon.
