Parliament Debates Issue of Election for Chairman of Audit Chamber

Pursuant to Article 145 of the constitutional law the Rules of Procedure, the NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs proposed to parliament for the post of the Chairman of the Audit Chamber Atom Janjughazyan’s candidacy presented by the Civil Contract Faction.

The Chair of the Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Gevorg Papoyan voiced the biographical data and the working activities.

Atom Janjughazyan studied in Yerevan State Polytechnic University. He is a Candidate of Technical Sciences. The deputy has noted that he has big experience in the sphere of state administration. “I think that Atom Janjughazyan’s professional capabilities correspond with the requirements being presented for the post,” Gevorg Papoyan has underlined, adding that in that respect the faction, as well as the community expect that the candidate will carry out his work at high level, will promote the increase of the budget expenditure efficiency.

Speaking about the important role of the state institutes, Atom Janjughazyan has noted that the quality of those bodies is the pledge of the state position improvement, and the degree of the establishment of the state institutes is directly at the state employee’s factor.

According to the speaker, our state and the state institutes are young and to record advanced growth in different spheres huge effort is required. “It is obvious that in the establishment of the state institutes of our country noticeable progress has been registered, but it cannot be considered sufficient.”

Atom Janjughazyan also touched upon the mission of the Audit Chamber, the measuring of the public state interest and the legal bases of the Chamber’s activity.

According to the rapporteur, only the employees of professional high qualification and complying with the standards acceptable to building integrity will be able to serve to the public state interest at best and provide the results expecting from the Audit Chamber.

Atom Janjughazyan thanked the political majority for the shown trust. He assured that in case of being elected he would justify expectations for the benefit of the state.
