On February 9, the parliament debated in the second reading the draft law on Amending the law on Education authored the deputy of the NA Civil Contract Faction Sisak Gabrielyan.

It is designed that the state should provide the learners from the first to the fourth classes of the educational institutions implementing elementary general educational programme with the textbooks of the elementary general educational programme at the expense of the state budget means for free .

The author informed that in September 2022 the learners from the first to the fourth classes would already receive textbooks for free.

The NA Head Committee and the Government endorsed the draft law.
