On February 2, the draft law on Making Amendments and Addendum to the Law on Medical Aid and Service for Population authored by the RA NA deputies Narek Zeynalyan and Lusine Badalyan was debated in the first reading at the NA Standing Committee on Health Care.

According to Narek Zeynalyan, it is proposed to stipulate in the law that pathological-anatomical autopsies are performed to diagnose post-mortem diseases and to determine the cause of death only in organizations providing medical care and services in the hospital. According to him, that provision will allow to control the pathological-anatomical activity. It is also suggested to give an opportunity to the organizations providing medical aid and service to have corpse care, processing and preservation services in case of not performing pathological-anatomical autopsies.

The RA Deputy Minister of Health Armen Nazaryan, highlighting the draft law, presented the positive opinion of the Government.

The Committee endorsed the draft law.
