“We consider it necessary to establish military cooperation between the CSTO member states in order to increase the combat readiness, unit and movability of collective security forces. We will make efforts to elaborate issues, modernize and improve the proposals, aimed at increasing the effectiveness of the fight against terrorism and extremism, information security, the fight against drugs and the fight against the illegal migration,” Hakob Arshakyan stated.

He has spoken about the important role of parliamentary diplomacy and added that steps will continue to be worked out to expand the international parliamentary cooperation.

“On the international parliamentary platforms, we, as partners, with the participation of our delegations, should show a united and coordinated position on the issues affecting the interests of the allies, the CSTO member states,” Hakob Arshakyan expressed conviction.

According to the NA Vice President, it is necessary to take measures to overcome the challenges and threats in the field of international security, as well as to ensure the continuous parliamentary cooperation in the field of foreign policy and security. “Armenia is open to cooperation in solving global and regional problems on the principles of equality, mutual respect and also taking into account the interests,” Hakob Arshakyan underlined.
