On November 26-29, the RA NA Chief of Staff, the Secretary General Vahan Naribekyan participated in the regular meeting of the Association of Secretaries General of Parliaments being held within the scope of the 143rd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Madrid.
The Association of Secretaries General of Parliaments is a platform for the cooperation of Secretaries General of Parliaments, the exchange of experience and knowledge, the creation and the strengthening of good-neighborly and partnership relations between the staffs of parliaments.
The details of the normal activity of the staffs of parliaments and the organization of uninterrupted work in the conditions of the pandemic were discussed, taking into account the legislative characteristics of the countries. The members of the Association highly appreciated the results of the activities carried out by the staffs of parliaments of the states.
The RA NA Chief of Staff, the Secretary General was elected as a member of the Association during the meeting of the Association of Secretaries General of Parliaments held in Madrid. A new President, Vice President and three members of the Executive Committee of the Association were also elected during the meeting.
