On November 12, a working discussion on the definition of the production and export boosting and production priority branches in the Republic of Armenia was held on the initiative of the Chair of the Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Gevorg Papoyan by the proposal of the deputies being involved in the financial sector of the NA Civil Contract Faction.
The NA Vice President Hakob Arshakyan, the deputies of the Civil Contract Faction, the members of the Government, those responsible for the sector and a representative from the bank took part in the discussion.
The Chair of the Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Gevorg Papoyan has noted that the goal of the meeting is the study of the steps aimed at the development of the industry in the RA, as a result of which it will become understandable how to replace the volumes of import in our country with export volumes. In that context, it is important to understand what directions will be chosen – branch or horizontal for the development of industry.
Touching upon the elaboration of the inner industry policy development, the Deputy Speaker of Parliament Hakob Arshakyan singled out a number of directions inclined at that. The NA Vice President observed as a priority the statistics of the qualified data.
Emphasizing the development of the Armenian production, the NA deputy Khachatur Sukiasyan has noted that state policy, social commercials, packaging peculiarity are necessary for that in order it will be more visible and attractive for the consumer.
The Deputy Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Babken Tunyan has underlined that the announcement and substantiation of the priorities of the industry sphere is also recorded in the Government programme.
Emphasizing the expansion of the export volumes the Deputy Head of the State Revenue Committee Shushanik Nersisyan noted that it would also promote the reduction of the paperwork terms. According to her, the export organizations should spend the least time on it. Shushanik Nersisyan has underscored they work in that direction.
The sides have distinguished the priority directions of the industry, noting that understanding the main branches of development is of priority.
In the opinion of the RA Deputy Minister of Finance Avag Aavanesyan, we should specify the significance of the prior direction. According to him, it may start from diplomatic work and end with the influences on fiscal policy.
Summing up the working discussion Gevorg Papoyan noted that it would be continuous, and in several weeks they would meet again with the representatives of the executive body with the expectation of holding substantive discussion.
