It is Proposed to Replace Vacancy of Chief Architect of Yerevan with Vacancy of Deputy Mayor
1 / 4

At the sitting held on November 12, the RA NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment Protection debated in the first reading the package of draft laws on Making Amendments and Addendum to the RA Law on Local Self-Government in the City of Yerevan and on Amending the Law on Public Service.

It is proposed to replace the vacancy of the Chief Architect of the City of Yerevan with the vacancy of the Deputy Mayor of Yerevan. The RA Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Vache Terteryan has noted that the mayor will have an opportunity through his/her deputy to effectively coordinate the architectural and urban planning units. The Municipality will transfer functions requiring some narrow professional knowledge to the field of collegial decision-making of famous and experienced architects.

The deputies endorsed the legislative initiative.

The Committee debated in the second reading and endorsed the package of bills on Making Addenda to the Law on Local Self-Government in the City of Yerevan and on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Local Self-Government.
