Internationalization of Higher Education – Priority Adopted by Government

At November 9 sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport, the draft law on Ratifying the Agreement on the Establishment of Network University of the Commonwealth of Independent States was debated.

The key rapporteur, the Deputy Minister of the RA Education, Science, Culture and Sports Artur Martirosyan informed that the agreement was signed on May 29, 2020. Introducing the main directions of the activities of the CIS Network Universities in detail, which are regulated by the provisions of the agreement, the Deputy Minister has highlighted the investment of the innovative educational technologies in the process of teaching through joint educational programmes. Within the framework of the network cooperation, Yerevan State University, Brusov State University and Armenian Polytechnic University from Armenia are involved. During 10-11 years, about 120 students from our country have already studied in the higher educational institutions being part of the network university.

In his final speech, Artur Martirosyan thanking for the debate has underlined that the internationalization of higher education is one of the priorities adopted by the Government.
