On August 10, the deputies continued debating the item of the election for the Chairs of the NA Standing Committees.

The Civil Contract Faction nominated Eduard Aghajanyan’s candidacy for being elected in the post of the Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations. The deputy Vahagn Aleksanyan presented the candidate’s biography and work experience.

Eduard Aghajanyan thanked his colleagues for nominating his candidacy in that responsible post. According to the candidate, the regional stability and the most important issues concerning the human rights remain still unused in the post-war Armenia, and their solution is only possible as a result of strengthening of the state’s inner resilience and effective cooperation with the international counterparts. “The activities of the Committee will focus on the national and state interest,” Aghajanyan underlined.

The candidate’s voting will be held after the debate of the candidacies of the Committees’ Chairs.
