On August 5, the Head of the Armenia Faction Seyran Ohanyan nominated the candidacy of the member of the Faction Ishkhan Saghatelyan for the third time.

Let us remind that again touching upon the item was conditioned by the fact that on the same day, as a result of the voting by secret ballot held twice the candidate did not receive necessary number of votes.

The representatives of the NA factions expressed their viewpoints on the candidate’s nomination.

The deputy of the NA I Have Honor Faction Tigran Abrahamyan reaffirmed that the Faction would vote for Ishkhan Saghatelyan’s candidacy.

The deputy of the NA Armenia Faction Armen Rustamyan has stated that Ishkhan Saghatelyan is the united candidate of the opposition.

The Head of the NA Civil Contract Faction Hayk Konjoryan has noted that the faction, remaining persistent in its position, is not going to impede the implementation of the provisions prescribed by the Constitution and will provide necessary votes for the election of the NA opposition Deputy Speaker.

The voting by secret ballot of the candidate for the NA Vice President nominated by the opposition will be held on August 6.
