Sadako Sasaki was 21 years old and lived in Hiroshima. During the atomic bombing of 1945, she was only a few kilometers away from the epicenter. Sadako Sasaki died five days after the explosion. Later, after her burial, her clothes were displayed at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum as a global symbol of the fight against nuclear weapons. During the visit, the Japanese delegation gave the framed picture of the dress, the proof of the destructive danger of nuclear weapons, to the NA Protocol Museum as a gift.
