MPs’ Speeches During RA NA Special Sitting
1 / 15

The deputies gave speeches on the issue of electing a Prime Minister during the RA NA special sitting held on May 10.

Sergey Bagratyan: I have always fought to have the item of forming the Ministry of Agriculture on our agenda, as it solves the problem of food security. During the formation of the Government, I even proposed to name the Ministry of Economy the Ministry of Agriculture.

Gor Gevorgyan: The spiritual fathers of democracy insist that any election has not only a result, but also consequences. I want our country to have recorded results during the elections very much and our people to refrain from any type of consequences.

Srbuhi Grigoryan: The Bright Armenia Faction is a political team which changes the culture in the political field too. We will go to the election without hate speech as always, with our projects and having a clear conscience, refusing revenge in the politics.

Sisak Gabrielyan: Yesterday, in essence, the first campaign took place in the RA. Of course, I agree that the hatred should be rejected, but I want to record that offensive expressions were sounded from the platform of the rally.

Nazeli Baghdasaryan: In my opinion, one of the main achievements of this parliament is that today, the RA citizen consider the NA deputy and mostly the deputy of My Step Faction as one of them. Yes, we are one of you, because you can hardly see any deputy with a bodyguard, touring with luxury cars and you can hardly hear that they have some estates.

Viktor Yengibaryan: Dear compatriots, today the National Assembly is dissolved by force of law and it will continue to function until the formation of the parliament of the new convocation. I think it is an opportune occasion to thank our colleagues and first of all our compatriots, for trusting us. Our compatriots often fairly complain about justice and in terms of undisclosed crimes, but when you make a hint about the cooperation with the state in terms of testifying or informing the investigative bodies, the majority of our citizens refuse the cooperation. Here, we come to a point that there is really a necessity of amendments.

Vladimir Vardanyan: An attempt has been made to present that My Step alliance and the ruling political force is an anti-national force, but in parallel, we have showed that we stand in the forefront for protecting the national values.

Taguhi Tovmasyan: As a representative of Artsakh initiative, I would like to speak and understand, how will be the future of Artsakh and what is expected to the citizens of Artsakh? The Government may at least negatively evaluate our draft law on the issue of international recognition of Artsakh, so that we understand what we should do. Now, we are waiting for the answer of the Government in order to put it in official circulation.

Narek Grigoryan: I will refer to the conversations, as if the former system comes to power distributing money. Dear compatriots, I assure that there will not be such thing. The best room is ready in prison for the person who will try to do electoral fraud. The elections will be open, simple and transparent.

Hovhannes Hovhannisyan: The law on Higher Education and Science is revolutionary which will change the system of higher education. Bad teachers will be out of the system. That is why the system resists for that. The resistances should be broken in all places after receiving the people’s vote, regardless of the fact whether they complain or not. If it is right, we should go forward.

Vagharshak Hakobyan: I want to affirm that this parliament was phenomenal both by its activity and by its assumed responsibility. We had 7,6% economic growth in 2019 which was an exceptional phenomenon for that year. Dear compatriots, I want to assure as a representative of the power that there is future both in Armenia and Artsakh.

Sofia Hovsepyan: The easiest thing is to blame and the most difficult is the admission of guilt and the correction of the existing mistakes. I would like us to be more than fair in preparing for the elections very much. I hope that if you come to power again after the elections on June 20, you will never repeat what happened. No one has the right to make a mistake in our country.

Gevorg Papoyan: Dear people, now the power is completely in your hands, and you should decide again to whom you will delegate it. We do not allow anyone to decide instead of you. Only the people can decide in new Armenia with its collective will.

Hayk Konjoryan: The establishment of the people’s power is the most important thing that happened in 2018. The people removed the power which was not legitimate.

Ani Samsonyan: All political forces which spread hatred, slander, poison the political environment, defile the rating of this country in the face of their official representative do not have a right to be the RA official, to speak on behalf of our country and build the future of Armenia. I wish everyone patience, restraint and common sense.

Karen Simonyan: Every political force and its representative should believe in the mission, for which they came to the political arena. There are forces the mission and the aim of which is to carry out a revolution. When Bright Armenia was formed in 2015, the improvement of the environment was one of our main aims, having the reforms of the educational system as a basis.

Mkhitar Hayrapetyan: As before, today we also have enough will and courage to speak about both our mistakes and omissions but these are mistakes which pursue any power every time and everywhere.

Artak Manukyan: When we look at the years of 2020 and 2021, we see that the fiscal circulation of cash register machines and the quantity of machines have increased both in the republic and Yerevan. They increased in the regions more. This is due to the enlivening in the regions, as well as by the reduction of shadow economy in the regions and moving it to the tax field with the more progressive paces.

Arman Babajanyan: In this situation, Mr. Prime Minister, the analysis of the process of starting the 44-day war and the whole period of the well-known announcement is very essential. Discover it and you will understand the role of each of the geopolitical actors. There is a need of hard work on the issue of restoring the Minsk Group format. Every time we continue to defend the importance of the Minsk Group, and there is no such concept in Azerbaijan, which is worrisome. This work should be coordinated with Russia which has a primary mandate in this problem.

Gevorg Gorgisyan: This choice will be a choice of conscience and responsibility. The tool of every choice is attention. We carefully choose the thoughts and decisions that will build the future in which we and our children will live. So, the first step of our choice will be to take responsibility and go to the election.

Vahagn Aleksanyan: I want to tell our citizens that, yes, there is future in Armenia. In that future, the citizen of Armenia is the owner of the country and not the material of deprivation, oppression and humiliation.

Babken Tunyan: It is an unprecedented step in Armenia when the Government wants to reaffirm its mandate and regain the public vote of confidence. In terms of that, it is a good opportunity to understand what we have done during these 2-3 years. We have come here to work for the benefit of Armenia. No one have come here to ensure a convenient roof for his/her business and to make ties. Here, everyone tries to take a step forward in the fields related to them, so that we have the country of which we have always dreamed. People understand that very well.

Anna Kostanyan: It is a unique case when parents, realizing their rights, studying the laws, are consistent with the violated rights and try to find out those ones of their child what steps can be taken to help the child by applying all means envisaged by the legislation. However, due to the idleness and incompetent approach of the school, the judges, the employees of the Compulsory Service, the Police, the Prosecutor’s Office, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport a bureaucratic coil has been created which deprives the child of education. This is the situation when it comes to educational reform.
