During the NA parliamentary briefings held on May 10, the deputy of My Step Faction Hamazasp Danielyan noted that unfortunately the package of the amendments to the Electoral Code adopted in the second reading last week, does not design an amendment to any rule for the elections of June 20.
“We liberalized the regulation of forming coalitions in the package more which will essentially increase the opportunity of forming coalitions. The current norm envisages 6 days for forming coalitions, and if any force will not have at least 54% of the seats in the parliament, and it will be not possible to form a coalition maximum among three forces, then the 2nd phase of the elections will be held in Armenia,” Danielyan said, answering to the journalist’s question referring to the risks of forming and not forming coalitions as a result of the parliamentary elections.
